Well, Chhattisgarh is a beautiful state and a lot of places to visit for a traveler, adventure lovers, family holidays and picnic. There are a lot of picnic spots we tried listing most of them here. But not giving full details of all of them because I don’t want to write it lengthy.
Kanan Pendari Zoological Garden in Bilaspur
Kanan Pendari is a Zoo located in Bilaspur, also every year lots of people go there for a picnic, school picnic, family picnic also corporate group visit the place for a picnic. You can reach there by road and if you are coming by train then Bilaspur Junction will be the station. Then you can book a cab, auto or city bus is also available. It depends if you are coming with a group or family.
Gangrel Dam
Gangrel Dam is a very popular place now and an attractive place for tourists and famous picnic spots for people. Every day more 1000-2000 people visiting in season. The place is also naming as mini goa in Chhattisgarh, and many water activities, boating, water bike riding things available for visiter. If are coming from long distance and want to stay then there is an option called resort stay that you need to book prior.
Gangrel Dam is built in the Mahanadi river, it is in the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh.
Ram Jharna
Ram Jharna is located in Raigarh District, on Jindal road and Kharsia Road. The place is very regularly visited by local people and nearby the city people. It is also a famous picnic spot in Chhattisgarh, Ram Jharna is famous because Lord Ram was visited and stayed there. Nearby, Railway station is the Bhupdevpur railway station.
When you visit the Ram Jharna you can also Singhanpur Cave, there very famous historical art found in the cave, which was discovered in British time.
Kesla Picnic Spot
Kesla is also a very good picnic spot for people either friend’s group or family picnic plan. This place is located in Korba, the most enjoyable place with a pack of greenery, hills, and river awesome views.
