We are going to tell you the seven ways how you can maximize the heck out of using this Amex platinum travel credit card.
The first way is with Airlines and this card works really well especially. If you pick one airline and especially if that airline is Delta and it’s because you’ll get free Delta lounge access. When you’re flying with Delta on that day I access a delta lounge anywhere from 10 to 12 times a month. So if you just assume I drink only one glass of champagne before every flight.
I am saving a crapload of money by the end of the year on that alone also there’s Priority Pass. So if you’re not flying with Delta and you’re at the airport that has priority pass lounges. That work out really well and then you also get a two hundred dollar credit to your one airline of your choice for things like food or drinks or luggage fees all of those things are included as well.

The second way that I maximize my benefit with this card is when it comes to hotels and there are two different ways that I think about it. First is you get auto status with Hilton and Marriott which is awesome. I already have the highest Hilton status but every now and again like when I was in Grand Cayman. And stayed at a Marriott Resort and it was awesome because since. I got the upgraded status they bumped up my room and they gave us a bunch of extra amenities that made our stay super nice.
The second way I maximize this is when it comes to Amex fine hotels and I had a really amazing experience. Staying at the Waldorf in Orlando and some of the examples of the perks you get and using your Amex card. And booking through fine hotels is a noon check-in (huge!) 4 p.m. checkout they also will upgrade your room and lastly breakfast is included and for there’s a $38 fee per person for this really nice breakfast. So that was great, oh and you also get a $100 resort fee so I use that towards a spa massage which was super awesome

The third way which I don’t see a lot of people talking about is how you redeem your points. So when you’re booking hotels and airlines directly you’re getting 5x the points. This is huge but when you redeem your points yeah you think you could use them. Towards statement credits or things like that but I always like to watch their monthly offers and sometimes like the the deal they have right now is for every one point that you transfer over to a Hilton point get 50 percent extra points but you.
The fourth way I use this card speaking of monthly offers is they usually have. Whether travel shopping or restaurant offers I will make sure I’m signing up for them and checking. What they have monthly right now I’m signed up for example for the Waldorf going back to that example. If you spend X amount you will save Y amount for this month. It’s only March and I’ve already saved two hundred and sixty-five dollars a year to date on these types of savings which is awesome.
The fifth way is when it comes to TSA PreCheck or global. Which I’ve had that for a long time (plus Clear) but if you have someone that you love to travel within your life then that credit can be used towards someone else which is an awesome perk.
The next perk that I love is that there are no foreign transaction fees. Which are amazing because when you’re traveling abroad you don’t want to pay for everything in cash and go to the ATM. A lot and you find yourself in Madrid and it’s a lot colder than you expect it. Then it’s great because you can pay with your Amex and not have to pay any foreign transactions. This next one is huge for me because I live an uber everywhere kind of lifestyle especially with how much I travel and so you get a 15 dollar monthly use it or lose it credit on uber and in December you get an extra $20.
Here are the seven ways I love to maximize this card actually. Maybe we have time for a bonus one do you see this thing you see. How thick it is you probably cut someone with it it’s kind of a good safety thing when you’re abroad. If you did and tell me in the comments what card do you use? Have you do you have this one what other perks you use there’s a lot of non-travel perks that I use it’s worth a lot to me.
