How to reach

To reach Sri Lanka from other countries you have to reach Bandaranaike International Airport of Colombo first and from there you have to take a reserved cab or taxi to reach your destination. To go from one place to another inside the country you can avail train, bus or car.

Day-1

On day 1 of your tour go to Kandy from Colombo. You can take the train, bus or car to Kandy from Colombo. The travel time will be around 3 to 3 and half hours. Within these options, the bus is the cheapest option but it will take a longer time. The cab is the costliest mode of travel but the time taken will be minimum and you can visit some beautiful places en route if you avail of a car. The reserved cab fare will be around INR 4000. On your way to Kandy from Colombo visit one of the most famous tourist attractions of the country Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

At this place, caregivers provide shelter to orphaned, injured or abandoned elephants. You can watch them eating and bathing inside this park. Upon reaching Kandy first check in to your hotel and after that visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. This is the prime attraction of Kandy.

The botanical garden houses numerous species of plants. From here visit the sacred Temple of Tooth Relic. It is a world heritage site and the most sacred place for Buddhists all around the Globe. The temple preserves the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Other than the main Temple the place also includes other small temples, shrines, and museums.

Day-2

On day-2 morning, 1st go to visit Sigiriya. Located around 90km away from Kandy, Sigiriya is one of the most prominent historical monuments of the country. Commonly referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the world by the locals, it is an ancient palace and fortress complex which has immense archaeological value.

Surrounded by forests, the palace is situated on a massive rocky plateau at a height of 370 meters above sea level. The complex consists of ruins of the massive fortress, gardens, alleys, canals, and ponds. The main lion-shaped entrance is a major attraction here. You have to climb 1200 steps to reach the top of this fort. From the top, you can get a breath-taking view of the city. On your way back to Kandy visit beautiful Kandy Lake.

Day-3

On day day-3 morning move towards Bentota from Kandy. The city Bentota is the golden sand beach city of the country. Here you can take a stroll on the pristine sea beaches and enjoy the freshness of the sea. If you are an adventure sports lover then a plethora of options are available here for you. Spend the day relaxing on the sea beach here.

Day-4

On day-4 go to Colombo from Bentota. Upon reaching Colombo first check in to your Hotel and after that go for a city sightseeing tour. First, visit Viharamahadevi Park. The beautiful park was situated at the heart of the city and is one of the prime tourist attractions here.

Next visit Independence square. It is a historical landmark of the city and is an architectural marvel.

After it visits Galle Face Green. It is a beautiful beach park located in the fort area of Colombo. Enjoy a walk around this beach. Due to time constraints, we suggest only these places in the city sightseeing tour. But if you have time in hand then you can visit Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Gangaramaya Temple, and the National Museum of Colombo. These are also great places to enjoy.

Day-5

On day 5, head back to airport for departure.
