Our country India has many scary and mysterious places, fort and Havelis. The fort we are talking about is the Bhangadh Fort, it is also called the Fort of the Ghosts. In our country even today in the name of ghosts, the heartbeat is fast. Lakhs of foreign tourists come to see this fort. The fort of Bhangarh is the main tourist destination in Rajasthan.

Bhangarh Fort Location

It is located in the Alwar district, 85 kilometers away from Rajasthan capital Jaipur. Bhangarh is connected to the Jaipur-Dehli highway. Bhangarh is famous for its history of ruining the fort and mysterious events. This fort is considered to be the most dreaded fort in India. Therefore warning has also been issued by the Indian Archaeological Department regarding prohibited timing to visit the fort before sunrise and after sunset.

Bhangarh Fort is an ancient fort built in the 16th century of India. This district of Rajasthan is located near Alwar. Bhangarh Fort was built by Man Sing Partham in 1573 for his younger brother Madho Sing the fort is named after Bhan Singh. Bhan Sing was the grandfather of Madho Sing and this fort was built in a very large size. Bhangarh flourished for nearly 300 years after its settlement. By that time, the Bhangarh population was around 10,000. In the 16th century, it was the principality of Mansingh’s younger brother Raja Madho Sing. And Bhangarh Fort was his residence.

History of Bhangarh

Madho Sing had three sons, Sujan Sing, Chhatra Sing, and Tej Sing. After the death of Madho Sing, the authority of Bhangarh was given to Chhatra Sing. Chhatra Sing’s son was Ajab Sing. Ajab Sing did not make Bhangarh his home state. He settled with his two sons, Kaabil Sing and Jaswant Sing, at Ajab Garh and with two sons, he made his residence. His third son Hari Sing became the ruler of Bhangarh in 1722.

According to history, Aurangzeb was an orthodox and a brutal ruler. In Aurangzeb had forced, two sons of Hari Sing converted to the Muslim religion. Named Mohammed Quliz and Mohammed Dahlia. Aurangzeb gave these two the responsibility of Bhangarh. Then King Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur attacked Bhangarh. And captured Mohammad Quliz and Mohammad Dahliz and captured Bhangarh. And gave the throne to the descendants of Madho Singh.

Mysterious activity in Bhangarh Fort

The Bhangarh Fort has been declared Asia’s most haunted place. Where some mysterious sound was heard in the fort. Today people believe the loud sound of someone crying is heard at night and some dark shades roaming in the fort. The fort of Bhangarh is today called haunted Fort at present, the fort of Bhangarh is supervised by the Government of India. Archaeological Survey of India teams is present around the fort.

The ASI has given strict instructions that after the sunset. It is forbidden to stay in this area for everyone. Because the Bhangarh Fort has been declared as haunted Fort by the Archeology Department of India due to mysterious incidents happened in the area. The Archaeological Department has also set up an office to monitor the fort and put a board on the entrance gate of the fort. The message is clearly written on board an entry into the fort is prohibited after sunrise and sunset in this fort.
